Cruac

The monstrous blood sorcery of the Circle of the Crone allows them to learn things about other vampires from just the slightest taste of their vitae and as their mastery improves, they go from simply understanding properties of Vitae to influencing them, enabling other vampires to go beyond their limits, or to strike them them down with terrible banes.

1) Knowledge of the Blood

The character may taste the merest drop of vitae from another – not enough to generate a blood bond, the merest taste is sufficient, and can be spat out afterward – and learn much about a vampire’s lineage, powers, and even how well they have their beast under control.

Failure

You are unable to determine anything meaningful from this taste.

Success

You may ask your target one question from the below, which they must answer truthfully:

  • What disciplines do you possess?
  • What is your highest rank discipline?
  • What is your clan?
  • Have you ever committed diablerie?
  • What is your current humanity rating?

Exceptional Success

You may ask your target three questions from the below, which they must answer truthfully:

  • What disciplines do you possess?
  • What is your highest rank discipline?
  • What is your clan?
  • Have you ever committed diablerie?
  • What was the last discipline you used?
  • Are you currently under the effects of any disciplines, your own or other people’s?
  • What is your current humanity rating?

2) Transcend the Limitations of the Blood

By the use of this sorcery, the character can fuel the powers of another, granting them a flush of energy that will enable them to use one of their disciplines an extra time during an uptime game session.

Failure

The target does not receive a bonus use of their powers this session.

Success

The target receives a bonus use of the nominated power. However, the bonus use of this power will automatically cause their beast to stir.

Exceptional Success

The target receives a bonus use of the nominated power. The use of this power has only the normal chance of causing their beast to stir.

3) Afflictions Of The Blood

This power enables the caster to temporarily strike down their target with one of the banes that afflict Vampires who have given up on some part of their struggle with their Beast.

Failure

The target is not afflicted with a Bane.

Success

For the next 10 minutes, the target is afflicted with one the following banes at random:

  • Repulsed by the sound of bells
  • Repulsed by holy symbols
  • Repulsed By garlic
  • Repulsed By silver
  • Cannot feed on the unwilling

Exceptional Success

For the next 30 minutes, the target is afflicted with one the following banes at of the caster’s choice:

  • Repulsed by the sound of bells
  • Repulsed by holy symbols
  • Repulsed By garlic
  • Repulsed By silver
