Theban Sorcery

The religious rituals of the Lancea Sanctum allow them to channel what they claim is the power of God, in order to weigh the souls of Kindred, and at the highest levels, even provide a temporary balm to the afflictions of the most monstrous.

1) Condemnation of Longinus

This ritual brings the target’s beast closer to the surface.  It will not, on its own, cause the beast to stir, but instead makes it more likely that the target’s beast will stir in response their own actions.  The caster of this ritual may not target themselves.  Unless the caster tells them, or is unsubtle in their casting, the target of this ritual will not realise their control has slipped until it is too late.

Your character’s ritual has failed.

Success

For the next 10 minutes, the target’s Humanity is counted as being 2 lower (to a minimum of 1) that it actually is when they activate disciplines, meaning it is more likely that their beast will stir.

Exceptional Success

For the next 30 minutes, the target’s Humanity is counted as being 2 lower (to a minimum of 1) that it actually is when they activate disciplines.

2) Palladin’s Absolution

This ritual helps the target retain control over their beast.  It makes it less likely that the beast will stir in response their actions. The caster of this ritual may not target themselves.  Unless the caster tells them, or is unsubtle in their casting, the target of this ritual will not realise that they control over their beast as been reinforced.

Your character’s ritual has failed.

Success

For the next 10 minutes, the target’s Humanity is counted as being 2 higher (to a maximum of 10) that it actually is, when they activate disciplines, meaning it is less likely that their beast will stir.

Exceptional Success

For the next 30 minutes, the target’s Humanity is counted as being 2 higher (to a maximum of 10) than it actually is when they activate disciplines.

3) Micah’s Hope

This power enables the priest to temporarily alleviate one of the banes that afflict Vampires who have given up on some part of their struggle with their Beast.

Failure

The target is not divinely inspired on this occasion.

Success

One bane the target suffers from (caster’s choice) is lifted for the next 30 minutes.

Exceptional Success

All banes the target suffers from are lifted for the next 30 minutes.
